Grant Purpose:
for the Take A Stand Underground Railroad Internet History Project. This project aims to provide 4th-6th graders with hands-on history lessons that are designed to place students in the footsteps of our ancestors as they learn about the true meaning of strength, courage and endurance experienced by past generations. It will create an Internet site with information about the Underground Railroad that teachers can integrate into lesson plans. This grant is intended to pay for staff, travel, video equipment, costumes, office supplies, printing and website expenses.
