Most people know to call 9-1-1 during an emergency. But what if you need help with day-to-day life? The United Way's 2-1-1 line is a toll-free number to connect people to resources and organizations that can best meet a wide variety of needs. This could include everything from mentoring programs to counseling to rehabilitation services.

The 2-1-1 line was launched in Kansas in 2006, and from the beginning, the Kansas Health Foundation has been a proud supporter. Today, the 2-1-1 line receives more than 70,000 calls a year.
